Also known as Neptunus Equester, he was recognized as a god of horses and horsemanship, as well as patron of horse racing, a popular form of entertainment for the ancient Romans. Witch King of Angmar

The Lord of the Nazgûl, known as the Witch-king of Angmar, the Pale King, and the Black Captain, emerges from the shadows of J. R. R. Tolkien’s dark fantasy, *The Lord of the Rings*. Once the dread ruler of Angmar in the northern wastes of Eriador, he now bears one of the nine cursed Rings of Power bestowed by the dark lord Sauron. These rings transformed their bearers into the spectral Nazgûl, the Ringwraiths, forever bound to the will of their malevolent master.

Reigned as the sovereign of the deities on Mount Olympus and is revered as the deity of the sky and thunder in ancient Greek religious beliefs and mythological tales.

Temple of Olympian Zeus, its period of magnificence was fleeting. The temple was abandoned following its plundering amid an incursion by barbarians in the year 267 AD.
